Next Steps

Congratulations on your decision to follow Christ! Becoming a follower of Christ can bring a lot of questions. One of those questions is, “What do I do now?” We have included some Next Steps here for your convenience to help you as you begin the journey as a Christ follower.

ONE: Know that you have been forgiven The moment you prayed to ask Christ to come into your life your sins were forgiven. All of your sins from your past, present, and future are gone. God’s Word says that “If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness.” (NIV) This is a promise!

TWO: Begin to pray and talk to God Just like any other relationship it takes good communication to grow. Spend time each day talking to God. Share with Him your hurts, your needs, your joys, and your sorrows. Just like any loving Father He wants to hear from you.

THREE: Read your Bible One of the best ways to get to know God and to learn how to live the Christian life is to read His written word. The Bible is a compilation of letters, history, and prophecy that He has put together just for you. Spend time in His word each day.

FOUR: Spend time with other Christ followers One of the best ways to grow as a Christ follower is to spend time with other Christ followers. On this website we have listed some churches in the area. If you don’t live in the area send us an email and we will help you to find a church that will fit your needs. (email us at: gracebc@cvgrace.com) After you find a good church, then begin to look for other options that they might have to help you to grow.

FIVE: Share your story You are reading this right now because someone invited you to Praise in the Park or because someone shared the video with you. But it doesn’t stop there. It is now a part of your journey to share with others what Christ has done for you. There are people in your life who need to know Him, and that need the same free gift that you have been given.
